In late 2006, Lights, Camera, Cure was crowned as the winner of the Bayer Dream Fund.
The Bayer Dream Fund recognizes and supports the efforts of people with diabetes who manage their condition so well with an Ascensia product that they can achieve extraordinary goals while demonstrating how their condition is a minor aspect of their lives. Through the Bayer Dream Fund, Bayer helps people with diabetes make their dreams a reality.
The dream of Lights, Camera, Cure's founders Jenna and Jay Scarsi was to conduct a tour of America and spread their message of the importance of diabetes youth advocacy while raising funds for diabetes research and creating a forum to unite the community and educating them on living with diabetes.
